Beginning Quilting- *NEW* ABC 123 Quilt! - Wednesday 8/28, 9/4, 9/11, 9/25 6-9pm
Yes, you can learn to make a quilt! Join our fun Beginning Quilting class, featuring our new ABC 123 pattern, taught Mary Make & Do. Mary walks you through all the steps to make it as easy as possible.
In four sessions, 3 hours each, you will learn to make a modern-style quilt, from start to finish. Classes with focus on choosing your fabric, fabric cutting, piecing, quilt layout, basting, machine quilting and binding. at the end, you will have a quilt approximately 40 x 55 inches, perfect for a small throw or crib.
Cost is $195 and includes: 12 hours of instruction, all fabric, quilt batting, thread, safety pins, and 1/4 inch sewing machine foot.
Additional materials required but not provided: sewing machine, cutting mat (at least 18 x 24 inches), rotary cutter, cutting ruler (6 x 24 inches), basic sewing supplies, and a walking foot. Mary will help you with finding/purchasing a walking foot if you don't have one. She also has them available to borrow.
Classes for this session meet on four Wednesday nights from 6-9 pm: August 28th, September 4th, September 11th, skip a week and finish up on September 25th.
Reservations are required and space is limited.
