6-Part Advanced Garment Series - Starts January 25 - Four Payments of $150
Are you enjoying our Garment Series? Ready to step it up a notch? Say hello to our Advanced Garment Series!
Taught by Mary Make & Do and meeting about once a month, Mary will teach you how to make 3 garments with patterns that are more advanced in nature. We will take more time with these challenging patterns, focus on the fit, and have lots of fun while we’re at it!
Class schedule and projects are as follows:
Saturdays, January 25 & February 15, 12-6 p.m. - Recital Shirt by Liesl & Co.
Saturdays, March 14 & April 11, 12-6 p.m. - Woven Essentials Dress by Alison Glass and Karen LePage
Saturdays, May 9 & June 15 , 12-6 p.m. - Lander Pants by True Bias
The cost is $600 and will be paid in 4 monthly installments of $150. The first installment is due when you sign up for the class. An invoice for the remaining 3 payments will be sent to the email address that is used when signing up. The fee includes all instruction, patterns, fabric, and red dot tracing fabric for each pattern. You will be responsible for bringing a sewing machine, thread and basic sewing supplies such as scissors, pins and marking tools.
If you have a scheduling conflict for one of the classes, don't worry. Missed time can be made up during our Open Sewing classes, as long as you contact Mary before missing the class. No-call/ no-show cannot be made up. Please be sure to make up missed class time within the 6 months of the series. Mary will help you schedule it, just ask!
If you have fitting concerns, assistance is available to learn to grade (adjust) pattern sizes. Extra classes may be purchased to learn to address grading and fit issues.
It is important to note that this series is designed for more advanced sewists. We recommend you have taken either our previous Intermediate Garment Series or have a made a wardrobe full of garments on your own, and have a basic understanding of darts, pleats, gathers, setting in a sleeve, facing, lining, bias binding, buttonholes, and sewing a zipper.
Ages: teens and adults.
Class size is limited. If you have any questions please contact Mary Perisho at firstname.lastname@example.org.
