6-Part Intermediate Garment Series - Starts February 1 - Four Payments of $175
So, you took our Beginning Garment Series, now what? Say hello to our Intermediate Garment Series!
Taught by Mary Make & Do and meeting about once a month, Mary will teach you how to make 6 garments with patterns that are more intermediate in nature, including projects that introduce pattern drafting and sewing with knits! And we will have tons of fun while we’re at it!
Class schedule and projects are as follows:
Saturday, February 1, 2-5 p.m. - Leggings - draft your own pattern and learn to sew with knits.
Saturday, February 29, 12-6 p.m. - Stasia Dress by Sew Liberated
Saturday, March 21, 12-6 p.m. - Farrow Dress by Grainline Studio
Saturday, April 18, 12-6 p.m. - Beatrix Blouse by Made by Rae
Saturday, May 16, 12-6 p.m. - Reed Skirt by Grainline Studio
Saturday, June 20, 12-6 p.m. - Brome by Fancy Tiger Crafts
The cost is $700 and will be paid in 4 monthly installments of $175. The first installment is due when you sign up for the class. An invoice for the remaining 3 payments will be sent to the email address that is used when signing up. The fee includes instruction, patterns, fabric, and red dot tracing fabric for each pattern. You will be responsible for bringing a sewing machine, thread and basic sewing supplies such as scissors, pins and marking tools.
If you have a scheduling conflict for one of the classes don't worry. Make-up classes can be made during our Open Sewing classes. Just get in touch with Mary before your missed class to set it up. No call/no show cannot be made up, Please be sure to make up your class time within the 6 months of this series. Mary will help you schedule it, just ask!
If you have fitting concerns, assistance is available to learn to grade or adjust pattern sizes. Extra classes may be purchased to learn to address grading and fit issues.
This series is designed for intermediate sewists. We recommend you have either taken our previous Beginning Garment Series or have a made a few garments on your own and have a basic understanding of darts, pleats, gathers, setting in a sleeve, bias binding, facing, and sewing a zipper.
Ages: teens and adults.
