Beginning Quilting - Wednesday 1/16, 23, 30 & 2/6, 6-9pm
Yes, you can learn to make a quilt! Join our fun Beginning Quilting class, taught Mary Make & Do. Mary walks you through all the steps to make it as easy as possible.
In four sessions, 3 hours each, you will learn to make a modern-style quilt, from start to finish. Classes with focus on choosing your fabric, fabric cutting, piecing, quilt layout, basting, machine quilting and binding. at the end, you will have a quilt approximately 40 x 55 inches, perfect for a small throw or crib.
Cost is $190 and includes: 12 hours of instruction, all fabric, quilt batting, thread, safety pins, and 1/4 inch sewing machine foot.
Additional materials required but not provided: sewing machine, cutting mat (18 x 24 inches), rotary cutter, cutting ruler (6 x 24 inches), basic sewing supplies, and walking foot.
Classes for this session meet on Wednesday nights 6-9 pm, January 16, 23, 30 & February 6th.
Reservations are required and space is limited to 4 students.
Pre-requisite - Absolute Beginning Sewing.
Ages: teens and adults.
