Beginning Quilting-*NEW* ABC 123 Quilt! Four Evenings: Thursdays 1/9 - 1/30, 6-9pm
Yes, you can learn to make a quilt! Join our fun Beginning Quilting class, featuring our new ABC 123 pattern, taught Mary Make & Do. Mary walks you through all the steps to make it as easy and fun as possible!
In four sessions, 3 hours each, you will learn to make a modern-style quilt, from start to finish. Classes with focus on choosing your fabric, fabric cutting, piecing, quilt layout, basting, machine quilting and binding. at the end, you will have a quilt approximately 40 x 55 inches, perfect for a small throw or crib.
Cost is $195 and includes: 12 hours of instruction, all fabric, quilt batting, thread, and safety pins.
Additional materials required but not provided: sewing machine, cutting mat (at least 18 x 24 inches), rotary cutter, cutting ruler (6 x 24 inches), basic sewing supplies, a quarter inch foot, and a walking foot. Mary will help you with finding/purchasing these special feet if you don't have them. She also has them available to borrow, and they are not needed for the first class.
Classes for this session meet on four Wednesday nights, January 9th through 30th, from 6-9 pm. Reservations are required and space is limited.
