Improv Quilting Workshop - Friday 10/19, 6-9pm
You and your sewing machine can create a completely original patchwork quilt piece, with no pattern! Improv piecing is free form fun playing with colors and shapes. You will learn the useful basics of improv piecing, with squares and rectangles, different triangles, and curves.You can use random scraps or choose a color pallet, your choice! Improv piecing is like like working a puzzle, with an unexpected outcome! It's really fun to let go and get in the flow.
This 3 hour workshop is $45, plus materials. For teens and adults.

All supplies that are purchased at Owl & Drum will be 10% off!
Bring scraps from home, scavenge scraps from our bins for $1 a piece, or choose Fat Quarters, $2 (solids) or $3 (prints) each. You will need the equivalent of about a half yard of scraps. If choosing Fat Quarters, you will want to have at least 5.
Tools: Sewing Machine, basic sewing supplies, rotary cutter, acrylic ruler and small cutting mat, if you have them. We have tools to share if these items are not in your sewing kit.
Pre-requisite - Absolute Beginning Sewing, or equivalent experience.
