Make a Quilt Camp! - August 13,14,15, 2-5pm
Wait, what? You can make a quilt in 3 days? Yes, you most certainly can!
Students learn to plan a quilt, measure & cut the fabric, pin, and use a sewing machine to sew it all together, to create their very own throw-size quilt at this camp! The finished size will be 40"x60", which is perfect for road trips, movie nights, picnics, sleepovers, and as a bed coverlet.
Cost is $195 for this 9 hour camp, which includes all materials. Because of the skills necessary, students must be 9 years old or entering 4th grade to attend this camp. If you have any questions, please contact Mary at (918) 289-5619.
Participants are encouraged to stop in Owl & Drum on a Saturday before camp begins to pick out their fabric, with the assistance of our helpful staff. This will allow us to make the most of the time allowed during camp. Students can also look at fabric on our website before visiting the shop, to aid the process of choosing. They will choose six coordinating fabrics, including at least one solid color fabric.
Bring a sewing machine if you have one, but we do have sewing machines and tools to share.
Students are welcome to bring a lunch or snack and a covered beverage.
Space is limited and reservations are necessary. Class size is limited to 4 students.

THIS CAMP TAKES PLACE AT THE MARY MAKE & DO STUDIO INSIDE RETRO DEN AT 1216 S. HARVARD. WE VISIT THE PARK BEHIND THE SHOP DURING A BREAK OR AT THE END OF CLASS WHEN TIME ALLOWS.
*Sewing requires the use of sharp tools and hot irons. Bringing your child to a sewing a class means you understand that there is a slight risk of injury, and will not hold Mary Perisho (dba Mary Make & Do), Owl & Drum or Retro Den responsible.
